Distributed Generation
Application of solar panels in different spaces
Roof:
Advantages: Roofs usually have a large area and good lighting conditions, which is an ideal location for installing solar panels. Roof-mounted solar panels can provide a large amount of electricity for homes or commercial places, reducing electricity bills. In addition, roof-mounted solar panels can also play a role in heat insulation, reduce indoor temperature, reduce the use of air conditioning, and further save energy.
Installation method: Roof-mounted solar panels can be fixed or tracked. Fixed installation is simple and convenient, and the cost is low, but the angle of the solar panel cannot be adjusted with the change of the sun’s position, and the power generation efficiency is relatively low. Tracking installation can automatically adjust the angle of the solar panel according to the change of the sun’s position to improve the power generation efficiency, but the cost is high, and the installation and maintenance are also more complicated.
Precautions: When installing solar panels on the roof, factors such as the roof’s load-bearing capacity, waterproof performance, and wind resistance need to be considered. At the same time, it is also necessary to ensure that the installation of solar panels will not affect the appearance and use function of the roof.

Balcony:
Advantages: The balcony is a space that is easier to use in the home. Installing solar panels can provide part of the power for the home to meet daily electricity needs. Solar panels installed on the balcony usually have a small capacity and low cost, which is suitable for home users.
Installation method: Solar panels can be installed on the balcony by wall-mounting or bracket-mounting. Wall-mounting is simple and convenient, and does not occupy the balcony space, but the load-bearing capacity and stability of the wall need to be considered. Bracket-mounting can be adjusted according to the shape and size of the balcony, and has strong adaptability, but it needs to occupy a certain balcony space.
Note: When installing solar panels on the balcony, the orientation and lighting conditions of the balcony need to be considered. Generally speaking, the south-facing balcony has better lighting conditions and is suitable for installing solar panels. At the same time, it is also necessary to ensure that the installation of solar panels will not affect the lighting and ventilation of the balcony.
Carport:
Advantages: The carport is a place for parking. Installing solar panels can charge electric vehicles and provide electricity for lighting and other equipment in the carport. Solar panels installed in the carport usually have a large capacity and high power generation efficiency, which is suitable for commercial places and public parking lots.
Installation method: Solar panels can be installed in the carport by ceiling-mounting or column-mounting. The ceiling-mounting can provide sunshade and rain protection for the vehicle, and can also make full use of the space of the carport to improve power generation efficiency. The column installation can be adjusted according to the shape and size of the carport, and has strong adaptability, but it needs to occupy a certain amount of carport space.
Note: When installing solar panels in the carport, the structure and load-bearing capacity of the carport need to be considered. At the same time, it is also necessary to ensure that the installation of solar panels will not affect the entry and exit and parking of vehicles.
