Brief introduction
A composite solar panel is a photovoltaic component that combines multiple materials or structures to improve the performance of solar cells or expand their application range.
Theory
Flexible composite solar panels: usually use polymer materials or metal foil as the substrate, and combine the solar cell chip with the substrate through a special packaging process. For example, a solar panel with a composite material composed of polyester film (PET) and glass fiber reinforced material as the substrate. Composite solar panels with this structure have the characteristics of light weight, bendability, good flexibility, etc., and can adapt to various complex installation surfaces, such as curved roofs, car bodies, portable electronic devices, etc.
Laminated composite solar panels: composed of multiple solar cell units of different materials or structures stacked. By rationally designing the energy band structure and optical properties of each layer of battery units, the battery units of different layers can absorb sunlight in different wavelength ranges, thereby improving the utilization efficiency of sunlight by the entire panel. For example, the triple-junction composite solar cell developed by Sharp uses three layers of light absorption layers with indium gallium arsenide as the bottom layer, which can efficiently convert sunlight into electrical energy with high conversion efficiency.

Energy storage composite solar panels: Integrate solar cells with energy storage devices (such as lithium batteries, supercapacitors, etc.), which can convert solar energy into electricity and store it when there is sufficient sunlight during the day, and release electricity at night or on rainy days when there is insufficient sunlight, to achieve continuous and stable power supply. This composite battery panel can reduce dependence on external energy storage equipment, improve the reliability and independence of solar power generation systems, and is often used in power supply in remote areas, outdoor emergency power supply and other fields.
